What tattoo removal involves
A tattoo places pigment in the dermis, and it does not fade on its own — it stays in the skin.
Removal breaks that pigment down with a laser and clears it. How long the course takes and how many sessions are needed differ from person to person, according to the state of the tattoo.
At Egg Clinic Sinsa the treatment is carried out by a board-certified dermatologist with substantial clinical experience, using a premium removal laser, with the aim of clean removal while keeping damage to the skin to a minimum.
How many sessions
It is difficult to expect a marked result from two or three sessions alone.
This differs with the colour and depth of the ink, but the pigment generally begins to lighten noticeably from around the fifth session, and clearer improvement is seen from about nine or ten sessions onwards.
The number of sessions is decided on the basis of the specialist's clinical judgement.
